The need for police visibility, regular selective enforcement at key locations and the issuance of moving vehicle violations have been identified by ACT as areas for improvement.

Any zoning regulation inadequacies -- or excessive variances granted -- negatively impact the fabric of our city.  Sensible zoning decisions provide calm traffic -- at the same time avoiding the creation of traffic nightmares.  Making use of -- and adding additional -- ordinances that create calm traffic is sound planning.

Scenic road designation to help minimize changes that will increase traffic

Village district designation to maintain the character of a neighborhood -- thereby keeping traffic calm

Minimizing variance approvals where increased traffic will be the outcome

Zoning changes as needed to avoid the addition of any more large retail stores that   generate high volumes of traffic
